ABOUT THE EVENING

Some objects carry more than their weight. A kilim is never just a rug - it is a map, a memory, a language woven by women across generations and cultures. A craft that unites art, design, and the largely untold history of female makers.

On June 30th, House of C by Clara Berding hosts a small evening at Mizrahi Fine Arts in Vienna's first district. Davut Mizrahi - who has spent over 30 years curating an extraordinary collection of kilims, rare woven textiles, and upholstery fabrics from countries across the Balkans, Africa, the Orient and Central Asia - will share his knowledge and show pieces from his collection. He has exhibited at the MAK and is currently working on his second book on exceptional pieces. His passion and profound knowledge for this craft is rare.

It will be a relaxed evening - drinks, music, and a conversation on a craft that deserves to be understood, not just admired.
